What to Do Before You Call
Warning: Use Extreme Caution - Treat All Down lines/wires as live and energized.

First, check your breaker panel or fuse panel and any outdoor disconnects to make sure the outage is not due to a tripped breaker or blown fuse.

Next, check to see if your neighbor’s power is off and contact us. This will help determine if the problem exists inside your premise or is a result of a power outage on utility lines.
Important Notice: If a lineworker responds and the outage call is not related to Hyde Park Electric distribution lines/equipment, you will be charged for the full cost of the response.

Never approach downed wires/lines or anything in contact with them, as the surrounding ground can become energized and pose a threat.

Never attempt to move limbs or branches from any lines.
