Village of Hyde Park - Notice of Revised Energy Efficiency Charge for 2025 Since 2000, Vermont electric bills have included an Energy Efficiency Charge (EEC). Funds collected pay for energy efficiency services designed to save money by reducing Vermont's electricity needs. This notice contains the new EEC rates that take effect with bills rendered February 1, 2025. The EEC pays for an organization called Efficiency Vermont to provide efficiency services to most of the state. For more information, including technical advice, education, rebates and other financial incentives for homes, farms and businesses, contact Efficency Vermont toll free at 1-888-921-5990 or visit www.effciencyvermont.com. Residential: $0.01106/kWh Commercial Non Demand: $0.00984/kWh Commercial Demand: $0.00624/kWh & $1.29810/kW per month Industrial non demand: $0.00770/kWh Industrial demand: $0.91545/kW per month Street & Area Lights: $0.00984/kWh determined by multiplying light wattage by 360 hours per month.
