Hyde Park Electric Department has filed with the Public Utility Commission a 3.0% rate increase to be effective starting October 1, 2024. From 2007 to 2023, increases for Hyde Park customers totaled 39.58%, or 2.2% annually. Since 2023 (the last rate increase), the electric department has continued to observe increased costs in all aspects of our operations including power supply, transmission, staffing, electrical equipment, and other infrastructure.
