Proposed Village of Hyde Park Charter Amendment & Sample Ballot
The legal voters of the Village of Hyde Park are hereby notified and warned to meet at the Town of Hyde Park Meeting Room, 344 Vt Rt 15 W, Hyde Park, Vermont on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 between the hours of 7:00 am, at which time the polls will open, and 7:00pm, at which time the polls will close, to vote by Australian Ballot on a proposed amendment to Section 131 of Subchapter 13: Hyde Park Electric Utility, of the Village of Hyde Park Charter (24 V.S.A. App. ch. 225, § 131).
The proposed amendment would allow the board of Electric Utility Commissioners for the Village of Hyde Park Electric Utility to be comprised of persons separate from the Board of Trustees of the Village and would also identify the powers and responsibilities of such Board of Electric Utility Commissioners and the oversight retained by the Trustees.
