Announcement: Eclipse Day Closure, Monday, April 8th
We decided to close the office on Monday, April 8, 2024, in anticipation of the public safety needs due to the impacts of conditions surrounding Eclipse Day. The anticipated influx of visitors and other conditions, as well as state advocacy for maintaining safety, we are taking steps to minimize operations. Thus, we are closing the office. Settlement reached in Lamoille County Lawsuit
The Village of Hyde Park announces that a settlement has been reached in the lawsuit with Lamoille County regarding water and wastewater rates. The County lawsuit challenged the Village water and wastewater rate structure as previously approved by the Board of Trustees. Acting in the best interest of the Village, the Board of Trustees entered into a settlement agreement with the County to lower the rates for the applicable rate class and avoid further litigation expenses.
